Adam's Birthday

Because of how far behind I am on my blogging, this kid is now closer to 8 than he is to 7, but, here are pictures of his 7 yr birthday.  He had a fun day, of course.  He got to pick out all of his meals and his activity.  We try to only to friend parties every other year, so, this was a family party year.  Chris's parents and his cousin Ethan (and the rest of the fam) came down to celebrate with us, and that made his day.  Those 2 are best little buddies.  Here are some cute pictures of the Birthday Boy.
These pictures are a little out of order, but, after he opened his presents from Grandmas and Grandpas and his cousin, he got to go on a treasure hunt to find his present from Mom and Dad.  Chris gave him the end of a string and he had to follow it.  It went upstairs, around all of the rooms, out the front door, through the garage, back in and around the kitchen, and to the living room where his present was waiting.

We have a tradition where every year on everyone's birthday we write the things that we love about the birthday person and put them in a jar.  We usually save them for last, and, I think the kids look forward to this just as much as they do their presents.  It is so fun to watch their faces as they read them, and it is fun to see what the boys write about each other.
I truly can't imagine our family without Adam in it.  He is such an easy going, fun, silly, smart, kid.  He makes me laugh all of the time, and despite his stubborn streak, he is such a good kid.  We love you Adam!
