First Day of School

The boys started school last Wednesday. They were so excited. Adam was up, showered, and dressed by 7:00 am that morning. He already knew the whole routine from watching Isaac for the past two years. When it was time to go, he was the first one kneeling down to say prayers and told me that it was his turn. He was so happy to finally be a part of it all!! We'll see how long that lasts...

His favorite thing about school- riding his bike with Isaac! I was so nervous to let them go the first morning, but they didn't want me to go with them! Fortunately, my friend was there to secretly follow them with her car to make sure that they got there safely. Adam looks so tiny and cute riding away on his bike with his backpack that is almost as big as him! When we go pick him up he likes to race us home. Of course he always wins because Jason rides his trike and has to stop every two seconds to look at bugs, rocks, and pick flowers for me. (The other day we were driving in the car and he wanted me to pull over because he saw some sunflowers on the side of the road and wanted to pick them for me- so cute!).

We decided to move the kids to the charter school this year. I was a little apprehensive about the change, but they seem to be doing really well. I am so impressed with Adam's teacher. She has great classroom management skills and seems so on top of things! Isaac told me that he likes his new school and is glad that he changed, but that next year he wants to go back to the other school again. We'll see!

They made me take another picture of them on the second day of school because on the first day they forgot to wear the new shoes that Grandma bought them! So, Grandma, this picture is for you!

I love the new shoes. That is so cute that Adam was all ready for school so fast. He has been wanting to be like Isaac his whole life. Good thing Isaac is an awesome big brother.
